A generation built for the times
Our Vision
We want to be a beacon of hope in our community and beyond, sharing the message of the Gospel through the love of Jesus to the greatest heights, and equipping a generation to become ambassadors of the Kingdom.
At Gospel Heights, we truly value living our life journey centered around Jesus Christ and connecting people with our loving Saviour. We are genuinely passionate about serving our community and welcoming all people with open arms, always. We are focused on becoming an engine that powers global missions while collaborating with churches and community leaders.
Our Leadership Team
Pastor Vimson Varghese leads Gospel Heights with a heart dedicated to the development of our people, next generation ministries, discipleship, and the spiritual awakening of Toronto, Canada, and the world. His evangelical preaching and powerful doctrinal teaching has been the cornerstone of over 10 years of ministry. Pastor Vimson's vision birthed Gospel Heights in 2016 with one goal: share the love of Jesus with our community.
Our leadership team represents a highly qualified, talented group of Christ-followers equipped with diverse professional backgrounds and credentials. This skilled team serves not only in spiritual leadership but also enables our next wave of growth. Our leadership core continues to expand, investing in people who are both capable and Christ-like, preparing us to expand into new territories with wisdom and excellence.
Our History
Gospel Heights was born in a Brampton basement in 2016, when God placed a vision on the heart of Pastor Vimson Varghese: to share the love of Jesus with our community. What began with small gatherings and backyard BBQs soon grew into something more. In 2018, our first Sunday service launched with just a handful of people — and from that day, God’s faithfulness has carried us forward.
Week by week, lives have been reached, transformed, and equipped. What started in Brampton has since become a vibrant, Spirit-led church in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area. And in 2025, we stepped into a new chapter with the launch of our Brantford campus — expanding our mission to serve even more people hungry for God’s presence and a purpose-driven life.
Today, Gospel Heights is a family of believers living on mission, pursuing God together, and inviting our cities to discover life in Jesus. The story is still being written — and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
What we Believe at Gospel Heights
-
We believe in one holy, perfect and eternal God, self-existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. The Godhead exists eternally in three persons. These three are one God, having the same nature and attributes and are worthy of the same homage, confidence, and obedience.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
-
We believe that God created the world and everything in it. We believe that humanity was created in the image of God to know Him and to enjoy Him, that God gave every human being a free will, and humanity’s choice to sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives whereby we are completely unable to attain to right-standing with God on our own merit.
(Genesis 1:26-30; Isaiah 59:2; Romans 5:12,18-19)
-
We believe that the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, is the only one who can reconcile us to God; who, though fully God, became both God and man through conception by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. His sinless life made possible His death as perfect atonement for all humanity. This is entirely by means of God’s grace offered to us.
(John 1:14-18; Luke 1:26-35; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Titus 3:4-7; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8-11, 10:8-13; Colossians 2:9-10; Philippians 2:6-7)
We believe that Jesus Christ gave up His life on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. He defeated death by resurrection power, appeared to many including His disciples, established His kingdom, ascended to heaven, and will come again. We believe this is a fundamental way of seeing the whole world which empowers us to live every day as Jesus did.
(Matthew 28:1-20; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-53; John 20:1-21:25; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Romans 4:25; John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
-
The Holy Spirit is also God, performing actions and possessing the attributes of the Deity. His personality is shown by the fact that He has personal characteristics and that individuals may relate to Him as a person.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation.
(Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15)
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14, and as manifested in the early church.
(1 Corinthians 12-14)
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.
(Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1)
We believe in the healing of the body by divine power, or divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the early church.
(Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:1)
-
We believe all human life is a gift from God and that life is sacred from the moment of conception. Each person has a divinely ordained purpose, irrespective of the circumstances and we uphold the sanctity of human life from conception. We believe God’s intention for marriage is one man and one woman and that all sex is reserved for marriage, as God intended it.
(Genesis 1:27-28, 2:24; Psalm 139:13-16; Proverbs 5:15-19; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:1-9; Luke 1:15; Ephesians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 6:9, 7:1-4; Galatians 5:16; Hebrews 13:4)
We believe that because of our sinful nature and the brokenness in our world, we all struggle with varying issues, but the heart of God is to bring forgiveness and restoration to those who seek it. Through grace and truth, personal healing and reconciliation to God are available to all.
(Psalm 23:3; Jeremiah 29:11-14; Luke 4:18; John 1:14,17, 8:31-32; Acts 3:19-21; Romans 6-8; Galatians 6:1; Hebrews 4:16; 2 Corinthians 12:8-9; 2 Peter 3:9; Titus 3:4-7)
-
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God – accurate and applicable to our lives. The interpretation and application of Scripture must be considered through the framework of the new covenant and the example of Jesus Christ – the living Word of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 1 Corinthians 2:13; Hebrews 4:12)
-
We believe in the spiritual unity and the priesthood of all believers in Christ and that these comprise the universal Church, the Body of Christ. We believe the church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23)
-
We believe in the necessity for salvation of repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by which the sinner is pardoned and accepted as righteous in God’s sight. This justification is imputed by the grace of God because of the atoning work of Christ, is received by faith alone and is evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit and a holy life.
-
We believe that water baptism by immersion is an outward act of obedience, and a public demonstration of faith and discipleship, by everyone who chooses to acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
(Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38-41, 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Hebrews 10:22)
-
We believe in the commemoration of Christ’s death by the observance of the Lord’s Supper until His return.
(1 Corinthians 11:28-32)
Gospel Heights is more than a Sunday service - it’s a community shaped by truth and love. Our beliefs define who we are, and our values show how we live.
